About the artwork

As an abstract art photographer, I am always looking for the beauty in the everyday. This work, titled "Weathered Waves", is a perfect representation of how time and elements leave their marks on materials. The inspiration for this picture came during a walk through an abandoned industrial area, where I became fascinated by the textures and colours of rusted corrugated sheets. The combination of rusty hues and the weathered texture creates an intriguing resonance of light and shadow, giving an almost painterly effect.

The mood I want to set with this work is one of impermanence and the beauty therein. It is reminiscent of the works of artists like Anselm Kiefer, who also often uses weathered materials and textures to tell a story. This picture fits within the movement of abstract art, where the emphasis is on form, colour and texture rather than recognisable objects.

What makes this work so special is the way it invites the viewer to come closer and discover the details. The subtle nuances in colour and complex textures make you discover new elements all the time. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
