About ‘Waterfall’ by Marina Radius

This is one of what I call my ‘ "vlekkenschilderijen" ’: paintings that I begin by applying paint at random and then working from the resulting abstract pattern of splashes towards a recognisable image.
I try to discover what recognisable shapes emerge and then develop them further.
This often results in a sort of fairy-tale landscape, a magical atmosphere that you can completely lose yourself in. And because I often see horses appearing, I paint them in too; for me, this landscape comes close to how I imagine paradise....And because I often see horses appearing, I paint them in too; for me, this landscape comes close to how I imagine paradise....

Born on 11 April 1953 in Palembang, Indonesia; has lived in the Netherlands since 1958. In the early 1970s, she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam; later, she also completed a further training course there in creative teaching. Between 1975 and 1985, she led various drawing and painting clubs; she currently gives private lessons from time to time.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
