With this series 'WINTER' I want to show my wonder and reverence for nature in this world. It is an ode to poetry woven into the fabric of nature, a reminder that the deepest beauty often lies in what remains unspoken, unseen and hidden in the mist.
As long as there is nature, there is hope. And solace.

Femke den Hollander (b 1979, Bruges) lives and works in Bruges. She studied social and cultural work and later photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges.
She worked for 20 years as a social worker, mainly with young people. As a freelance photographer, she works for numerous social and cultural organisations in Bruges and beyond. She is house photographer at cultural hub De Republiek and for Musea Brugge she follows the construction of the new art gallery…
