The Wadden area and the Wadden Sea: a particularly beautiful piece of nature in the Netherlands. A unique nature area with ebbing tides and drying sandbanks. A nature area with an enormous wealth of different birds and other animals. Every day at the Wadden Sea is different, the weather is different, the Wadden landscape is different. There is something to see and discover every day!
This photo shows a beautiful view of the Wadden Sea at low tide. The photo was taken from one of the Wadden Islands: Schiermonnikoog. The view across the almost-dry Wadden Sea seems endless, but a narrow strip of land is visible in the distance, looking towards the coastline between Lauwersoog in Groningen and Moddergat in Friesland.
Above this beautiful landscape hangs a peculiar cloudy sky. Both good weather and some not-so-good weather can be seen with these clouds. Below near the horizon are dark clouds with rain and a little higher up you can see beautiful white clouds against a beautiful blue sky. At the time this picture was taken, the rain on Schiermonnikoog was receding towards the mainland and the sun was already reappearing on the Wadden island. It was a beautiful day for walking and enjoying the beautiful nature and tranquillity on the island.
Are you also a fan of the Wadden area? With this beautiful photo on your wall, you will always enjoy this special piece of nature in the Netherlands!
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
