About ‘Views of Calanques Sea and Rocks’ by Glenn Vlekke

A breathtaking view of the Calanques National Park, with rugged limestone rocks descending to a deep blue sea. There are small green bushes among the rocks, a narrow path winding down, and in the distance you can see a couple of islands with a sailboat on the water. The sky is bright blue with some white clouds, giving the scene a fresh look. Small details are the sharp rock edges and the sparkle of the water.

I was hiking in the Calanques and was struck by how rugged yet peaceful the landscape is. The contrast between the hard rocks and soft water inspired me to capture this moment

What mood are you trying to capture? The photo gives a sense of adventure and peace, as if you were on a hike yourself overlooking a pristine piece of nature. It is fresh and free, with a hint of Mediterranean warmth.

I used a wide-angle lens to capture the whole landscape to bring out the colours of the sea and sky. The composition follows the natural lines of the rocks to the horizon. Then processed into an HDR image to make the colours stand out better.

This piece brings a sunny, Mediterranean vibe to the home, ideal for a living room or hallway. The blue and green tones go nicely with modern or natural décor, and it gives a sense of space and freedom.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
