The Sierra Helada Nature Park is located on the Mediterranean coast and is a landmark of the Costa Blanca in Spain. Hiking over the mountain ridge offers wonderful views of the blue Mediterranean, the steep cliffs and the coastal landscape. The skyscrapers of Benidorm can be seen in the distance.
At the time I reached the summit, visibility was very good and suddenly a light mist and clouds rolled in. These special weather conditions created a dreamlike atmosphere on the coast. A delicate veil of mist floated from the sea over the mountains and inland.
This photo is dedicated to the impressive rock formations and cliffs that give the Sierra Helada its characteristic appearance. The side of the Sierra Helada facing the sea impresses with steep rock faces, while the slopes facing away from the sea appear rather gentle. In my opinion, the jagged limestone cliffs form a beautiful contrast to the blue tones of the sea. But the Sierra Helada is also an eye-catcher when viewed from a distance. The elongated mountain range rises majestically into the sea and has a striking silhouette.
