About ‘View over a dune valley with bomb craters’ by Rob Liefveld
This is a photo of the largest wet dune valley in the Noordhollands Duinreservaat, the Reggers Sandervlak.
The wind has eroded the valley to just above groundwater, therefore the deeper parts of this valley are always moist and it is flooded in winter.
Autumn colors the vegetation purple, yellow and brown

In 2012 I graduated from the Fotovakschool (University of Applied Photography) in Amsterdam with a portfolio of landscape photography and a business flyer. Important themes in my photography are textures, layers and lines. My images are often minimalistic and empty, sometimes dreamy; aiming to leave the viewer with an impression of intriguing tranquility.
