Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

Venus and Adonis, Bartholomeus Spranger

Venus, the goddess of love, did not want her lover Adonis to go hunting. She was afraid that he would come to harm. Her fears were justified: Adonis was killed by a wild boar. The tall, slender figures with small heads typify Spranger’s elegant Mannerist style. The landscape is curiously old-fashioned; it was copied from an early 16th-century painting.
