About ‘Veerse meer at Vrouwenpolder’ by Sander Poppe

On the shores of the Veerse Meer lake, near the picturesque Vrouwenpolder in Zeeland, an image radiating calm and harmony emerged on a quiet morning. This picture was taken with a long shutter speed, giving it an almost picturesque quality. The familiar wooden jetty stretches across the calm water, drawing the eye towards the horizon.

The long shutter speed gives the shot a soft, blue-tinted atmosphere, perfectly capturing the coolness and stillness of the early morning. In the distance, the sun slowly climbs up, its warm glow subtly breaking through the fresh colour tones. The water has been turned into a smooth, mirror-like surface by this photography technique. Every wave has disappeared and the reflection of sky and sun together form a serene composition.

Lake Veere is a popular location for landscape photography, thanks in part to the combination of nature, calm waters and photogenic elements such as the jetties. Especially around sunrise, the lighting conditions are ideal for photographers playing with slower shutter speeds.

This shot is not only a technical achievement, but also a visual narrative of Zeeland's quiet beauty. It unites colour, composition and time into one perfect moment, captured forever.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
