The almost sterile look of this large reception and departure hall of a central railway station, grabbed me.
The space seems to make an immaculate impression naturally with its perfect symmetry in a sky of white vaults.
Surely this is how everyone wants to take the train? A place where there seems to be room for reflection times your intended or completed journey. A starting point of serenity and promise and an ending point of tranquillity.
Here I sought to capture once again self-proclaimed nullity and humility of man. Fortunately, a lone rising man helped me do this. He captures the dimensions of this majestic space.
The choice of black and white directs the viewer to the essence of the lines without being distracted by a kaleidoscope of colour that do not add to this image.
As soon as I could hold pencil and paper, I was hooked. At a young age, I observed my surroundings and liked to capture reality as seen through my own eyes. This led to art school where I graduated with knowledge in several disciplines.
