U.S. Air Force Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.
During a flight demonstration of the F-35, the pilot shows the audience the aircraft's internal weapons bay by briefly opening its doors.
The F-35's stealth characteristics are best when the armament is under the skin of the aircraft, hence that internal weapons bay. Depending on a mission and the threat, it is possible to mount weapons externally. The stealth features make the F-35 harder to detect by a radar system.
