The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multipurpose fighter jet that has been in wide use since 1979. The aircraft was designed by General Dynamics. The General Dynamics factory has since been acquired by Lockheed Martin.
The aircraft in the picture is based at Nellis Air Force Base and is part of the 422 Test and Evaluation Squadron.
