About "Two poppy capsules in a poppy field"

About the artwork

Two poppy capsules standing close together in a field with other poppy plants already in bloom, so that the picture is dominated by the meditative colour green.

The characteristic shape of the capsule we see on the star on the seed capsule is clearly recognisable, as are the hairs on the stems of the two plants.

The shape and colour are repeated in the background of the picture by the staggering of other plants in the background, which, becoming increasingly blurred, create a beautiful background for the two plants in the foreground.

The picture was deliberately taken with a relatively low level of sharpness so that viewers can concentrate on a few plants and details and a lot of colour as emotional carriers.

The opium poppy (Papaver somniferum) is a plant of the poppy genus (Papaver). It is one of the oldest medicinal plants and is easily recognised by its characteristic petals and capsules. Opium poppy is cultivated in Germany for oil production. Its petals are delicate and it is only on the shady side of the flower that the intense colour is revealed as the sum of all the petals.

The photo was taken with a high-resolution camera and therefore offers very good scope for the selection of different formats and sizes.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
