With their snouts buried deep in the dark earth, the two pigs stand imperturbably side by side feasting. They seem completely absorbed in their quest, as if the world around them does not exist for a moment. The soft, reddish hair on their backs moves with every enthusiastic push they make, while their ears hang down in complete concentration.
The ground beneath them is churned up, traces of the hard work they have already done. Each grain of earth seems to carry a new promise - maybe a root, maybe a tasty tuber, or just the satisfaction of rooting itself. Their collective rhythm, the quiet sniffing and muted scrabbling of their hooves create an almost soothing harmony.
It is a moment of pure, simple animal pleasure: two pigs enjoying what nature offers them together, with no rush, no distractions - just the wonderful feeling of feasting, rooting and being content.
