This painting shows a lone tree standing firmly in the field, surrounded by tall grasses and a vast horizon. I created this painting with digital techniques, based on a photograph I took myself in the Belgian nature reserve Hageven in Pelt. In this way, I was able to translate reality into an expressive, painterly interpretation that captures the moment while adding my own imagination.
