About ‘Two Walkers, Two Birds, Skagen’ by One Eye Shut
As I waited on the dune for the last gleams of light to disappear, hoping someone would show up, two people appeared on the ridge, walking as though they were heading home, with two birds drifting above them. The moment was surreal. It felt as though I had been waiting for them all along.

I’d rather focus on the experience, so I don’t take many pictures. But when I do, it’s completely silent around me. Still. Nothing happening. And nothing I can do but appreciate this unravelling moment, quietly and gratefully. Right before I leave, if the light is still shining and the wind not yet blowing, only then do I know I must take this moment with me.
