About ‘The Lighthouse, Skagen’ by One Eye Shut
The beach in Skagen is a corner, and I wanted to get there and see the currents coming at me from both sides. It was quite a long walk. I didn’t want to take a picture of the lighthouse because it’s such a cliché, but the colors were too good, the walk was too long, and it just kept staring at me.

I’d rather focus on the experience, so I don’t take many pictures. But when I do, it’s completely silent around me. Still. Nothing happening. And nothing I can do but appreciate this unravelling moment, quietly and gratefully. Right before I leave, if the light is still shining and the wind not yet blowing, only then do I know I must take this moment with me.
