Two Tahitian girls painted with oil pastel inspired by painter Paul Gauquin.
Gauquin lived on the island of Tahiti for a long time, here he created many colourful paintings of the people and the land. Gauquin was a close friend of Vincent van Gogh. Both painters used bright colours and were innovators of painting.

It is an inspiration to try to somewhat approximate the style and colours. So I have used oil pastel crayons here because that also gives nice bright colours.
