Twilight Zone.
The title refers to the two backgrounds, each with different lighting. The face is rather pale on a dark background and the lower body is dark on a lighter background.

My works arise intuitively, I start by looking for images and then, while shuffling, removing or recalling them, start to make a whole. Sometimes this process takes quite a long time, sometimes it is quite fast. Some pictures are copied and resized after they have been updated, thus creating a rhythm, like the pink little flowers at the top. The green dragonfly wings are also copied and pasted back mirrored. The design is symmetrical in most of my works and this is done by copying parts of images and then pasting them back.
Twilight Zone would look good on a light, blank wall in a quiet interior with little colour.
As a child, I could spend hours drawing at the kitchen table at home. Later in life, I enjoyed years of artistic training and although I learnt a lot, at some point I detached myself from wanting to conform to artistic dogma because it hindered me. I.. Read more…
