The title refers to the hands in the work that seem to be about to make a clapping motion.
A Two Hand Clapping was first set up with pencil, some parts were drawn by hand like the eyes, other parts using compasses and various stencils.
A pair of compasses was used for the headdress, a variety of other stencils were useful for many shapes.
When I am satisfied with the outline in pencil, the colouring in begins, and this is done in layers. I start with coloured pencils, then all kinds of colouring pens, brush pencils and pens are used.
To achieve a nice whole, you can see that mainly warm and cold shades are used here. Because these shades form a contrast, all the colours start to speak louder.
Personally, I find this work funny in a somewhat special way, it has become a uncommon combination of shapes and human parts that somehow became very appealing and fresh.
This work fits well on an empty wall in a quiet or austere interior.
