Turquoise sea water gently flows over the rocks. The cove called Cala de la Granadella is considered one of the most beautiful coves on the northern Costa Blanca in Spain. It is characterized by its clear water, which shines in turquoise and blue-green tones. The rippled surface of the water and reflections from the sunlight give the rocky seabed an abstract appearance.
This minimalist beach scene is dedicated to the mesmerizing effects of sunlight and the gentle waves on the Spanish coast. I like hiking through the nature park near Jávea to rest at Cala de la Granadella and look at the water. I like to include both the meditative effect of the flowing water and the structures of the water surface in my photographs. The resulting shots are inspired by the timeless beauty of nature and being in this very moment.
Walking along the Mediterranean coast, I often get the impression that the clocks are ticking a little slower. In this sense, the turquoise water surface is destined to bring some of the magic of the Costa Blanca into your four walls. A summer dream of the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
