The work "Tropical Rise" uses abstract, geometric imagery to depict the powerful moment of a colourful bird rising out of the dense jungle and striving towards the sun. The composition consists entirely of differently coloured triangles, the arrangement of which creates a lively interplay of movement, nature and light.
In the left-hand section of the picture, bright red, green, yellow and turquoise triangles form the abstract body and wings of the bird. The strong colours symbolise the exotic plumage of the parrot, which rises out of the deep green of the jungle - a symbol of freedom and departure.
