The fountain is about 26 meters high and about 22 meters wide. It is located on a small square, Piazza di Trevi. The Trevi Fountain was commissioned by Pope Clement XII. It was drawn by Bernini and built over 50 years later by the architect Nicola Salvi, in the style of the late Baroque. Construction lasted from 1732 to 1762. The fountain is built against the back facade of the Palazzo Poli.
