Tradition in shine and movement
Prince's Day.
This edited photo of Prinsjesdag captures the royal spectacle in an explosion of colour and movement. The iconic carriage, accompanied by valets in ceremonial dress and drawn by stately horses, strides through a sea of people full of expectation.
Edited in Photoshop and Corel Painter X3, the image has an almost impressionistic look. The background is vivid and faded, which makes the carriage and horses stand out powerfully. The painterly style enhances the sense of tradition, ceremony and national pride.
This image is not just a documentary representation, but an artistic interpretation of an important Dutch moment - a visual ode to heritage.
Material recommendation.
Acrylic glass (gloss). Enhances the vibrant colours and gives a glossy royal look.
Aluminium. Sleek with colour strength and depth
Art frame or canvas. Transforms the work into an art object with classic appeal.
Size recommendation:
Standing format of at least 60×90 cm to show off the details of the horses, uniforms and carriage.
✨Tradition✨✨The third Tuesday of September is tradition in the Netherlands. It is an important day for Dutch politics and is called Prinsjesdag. (Prinsdag) The members of the Senate and House of Representatives and the ministers meet in the Ridderzaal in The Hague. The king is also present.
Prinsjesdag has existed for over two hundred years. The first one was in 1814. Then our King William I went to the court with a procession of horsemen to open the new year of government. He gave a speech from his throne.
