One of the most beautiful parts of Europe can be found on the northeastern border of France and Germany; a region that has changed nationalities many times. Today this area is French, but the German influences are still evident in the architecture, the bakeries and restaurants, local customs and dialect.
During my stay in Alsace, I bivouacked in the very picturesque and cozy Ribeauville. Even in corona time, the conviviality here was palpable. In the middle of this village you will find this iconic tower that separates the northern and southern part of the settlement.
