Too Many Tabs Open

by Skye Studio

A chaotic tangle of browser windows, loading bars, navigation symbols and sharp lightning bolts spills across a colourful collage of overlapping shapes. Vivid coral pink, hot orange and turquoise collide with teal and muted earthy brown, creating a striking contrast between the digital and the tactile. Familiar interface details, including tabs, close buttons, arrows and progress indicators, appear scattered throughout the composition, while jagged bolts cut through the layers like sudden flashes of thought.

The artwork captures the feeling of having too many things competing for attention at once. It brings a playful, slightly frantic interpretation of digital overload, multitasking and modern screen fatigue. The irregular arrangement and torn-paper appearance give the composition an expressive, cut-and-paste collage aesthetic, softened by subtle grain and painterly-looking colour variations.

There's something both humorous and relatable about this visual jumble. It evokes the familiar experience of opening one more browser tab, switching between unfinished tasks and watching your mental to-do list grow. With its bold colours and energetic graphic elements, this contemporary abstract collage brings personality, movement and a touch of internet-inspired humour to a space.
