In Buddhism, a Buddha is understood to be a being who, through his own efforts, has attained purity and perfection of spirit and has thus developed his full potential to infinity.
Perfect wisdom (Hannya) and infinite and calm compassion (Karuna) for all living beings.
The Buddha, although leading human existence at the same time, achieved nirvana and, according to Buddhist belief, is not bound to the cycle of death and rebirth (although his human body is still dying).
