Title: Swedish Abandonment: Old Cars in the Woods

Description:

This photograph takes you to an enchanting place, deep in the forests of Sweden: the famous car graveyard of Bastnäs. My inspiration came from a fascination with how nature takes back what man has created. Here you see a classic car, whose roof and even the bonnet are completely overgrown with a vibrant layer of moss. Behind this car, you catch a glimpse of another, lighter car that is also slowly disappearing into the greenery. Its broken windows and rusty spots tell stories of a distant past.

The mood I set with this work is one of serene calm and melancholy, but also of the powerful, unstoppable cycle of nature. It is a reminder of the impermanence of everything we build and the eternal rebirth of nature. This image symbolises how nature finds its own way and will always prevail. It is a visual meditation on time, decay and the power of wilderness, perfect for lovers of unique, storytelling art and an addition that will evoke a sense of calm and wonder in any interior.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
