The skies in Iceland are unprecedentedly beautiful. Often soft and very changeable. One moment you have blue sky, and the next clouds suddenly reappear. The wind turns abruptly and increases in strength, often feeling icy cold. We did not go out, in the middle of summer, without a mackintosh, hat and gloves. The land, the lava edges, the various types of lava, the colourful bright green moss, incredibly beautiful. But the cloud cover beats everything. In the distance above the sea, you can also see the numerous rain showers falling. You shouldn't go to Iceland for the good weather, but for the unprecedented diversity of landscapes and skies. The dark threatening sky comes towards us and is in harmony with the black basalt blocks on the coast. Behind it, the sky breaks open and we see blue skies, the sun always shining again.
