In the Paradise Garden of the Hanseatic city of Wismar, the leaves of the Japanese blossom cherry trees have changed colour from a lush green to a bright yellow-red. The first leaves are already scattered on the pavement and are being distributed by the wind. The Paradise Garden was once part of the 2002 State Garden Show, the first and so far only state garden show in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It was renaturalised for the garden show and after the garden show was transformed into today's Bürgerpark and parts of the Wismar Zoo. A visit to this beautiful area is worthwhile at any time of year.
