The water from the waterfall flows into the bay, Iceland. At the bottom of the Fjallfoss waterfall with a view on the fjord.
The Dynjandi, also known as the Fjallfoss or mountain waterfall, is the largest waterfall in the Western fjord area in northwest Iceland. The water in the Dynjandisá River comes from the Dynjandisheiði plateau and over a width of 30 metres at the top to 60 metres at the bottom, it descends in stages over 100 metres. Further downstream there are several other waterfalls, from top to bottom successively the Hæstahjallafoss, the Strompgljúfrafoss, the Göngumannafoss (where you can walk behind), the Hrísvaðsfoss, the Hundafoss and finally the Bæjarfoss. The water flows via the Dynjandisvogur in the Arnarfjörður (Arendsfjord).
Dynjandi means something like Thunder, probably because the sound of the many waterfalls together causes a lot of noise.
