I created this painting using acrylic paint.
The size of the original canvas I used is 180x100 cm.
This is the second part of the Travelers series.
As inspiration for the painting, I used a turtle that I took care of for a while with the idea that instead of swimming in an aquarium, the turtle sees the world.
No longer so confined, but instead, just being free.
I used the squirrel, which to me is a magical and free animal, as the opposite character to the turtle.
The squirrel taking the tortoise on a journey that is full of revelations for the tortoise, full of adventures and new friends.
In this painting, they meet the swan, which represents freedom, love, transformation and caring.
In the morning sun, they meet the swan, surrounded by fish, birds and insects.
The swan opens a new chapter in the journey and provides insight into all the beauty all around them.
A beautiful story also accompanies this painting which reads as follows:
So why? The turtle asked, are the clouds on the ground?
Well said the swan with a gentle warm sound.
The clouds come down for us, so it's harder to see.
And when they fade away the more surprised we will be .
Because when the clouds clear up and the sun breaks through.
You will be in awe of the beauty that surrounds you!
