Between 1880 and 1920, the Art Nouveau movement emerged. Many artists, designers, architects and craftsmen believed in technical progress, but were also inspired by the beauty of nature. Women were admired for their beauty, but were also increasingly equal partners with the cosmopolitan artists. Beautiful buildings, sculptures, paintings, but also furniture and interior design. Everyone was expected to surround themselves with beauty. People believed in artistic freedom, in equality between peoples and between men and women. These dreams were destroyed by nationalism and World War 1. Today, we should work together to ensure that such a situation does not happen again, and fight with all our strength for freedom, equality and fraternity, as was the case in the French Revolution from 1789 to 1799. I hope that the spirit of Art Nouveau will revive (maybe it will be called differently) and the world will be a better place.
Since my childhood I paint and draw. Early on I was also interested in technology and history. Like many artists, I am very rarely satisfied with my works. One strives for perfection, tries to at least come close to it.
