About ‘The sky above the bay, San Sebastián’ by Urban Archive

I took this photo on the beach at San Sebastián in March 2025. What immediately stands out is the composition of the image: a large part consists of sky, with the sea and a narrow strip of beach below.

The horizon lies relatively low, giving the sky plenty of space. The clouds are scattered and soft, without harsh contrasts, which keeps the image calm. Small groups of people are visible on the beach and in the water, but they remain secondary to the overall composition.

The hill on the right-hand side encloses the bay and provides a clear boundary to the landscape. At the same time, the image remains open thanks to the large expanses of sky and water. The colours are muted, which emphasises the proportions rather than the details.

For me, this image is all about space and composition. It shows how little is needed to bring an image into balance. It is a calm and uncluttered image that fits well in an interior where you want to add light and openness.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
