About "The search for the Dragon"

About the artwork

The first time I walked into a temple in China, I immediately noticed a wooden dragon. The bright colors and details were unique and typical for the Chinese culture in my eyes. I wanted to take a picture of it but the dragon was very damaged and the picture would not be like the experience in real life. It turns out that this dragon hangs in many temples in China. But every time I came across one, it was very battered, which is not very strange given the history of these works of art. After I walked through dozens of temples in China, I was about to give up my quest.

After a train journey of 15 hours I arrived in Chengdu. On the second day we arrived at a temple in the center of Chengdu. After looking around for a while, the same dragon hung there as the many times before. I almost assumed that it was badly damaged, but I could not believe what I saw. The colors and details were beautiful and this can also be seen on the photo. This picture is not just about the colors, the dragon or the Chinese culture. It is about never giving up and always looking further even if it takes a lot of time or effort.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
