The small lighthouse on the harbour pier of Fécamp looks beautifully picturesque, especially because of the wooden construction, which is already very old and has experienced many storms.
To better represent the lighthouse in front of a choppy sea, this picture was taken as a long exposure, lasting about 45 seconds. This makes the water appear very silky and soft and the clouds move through the picture like brush strokes. This image effect also reflects something of the morning silence, which was only broken by the sounds of the sea birds.
Photography in black and white looks very timeless and noble!
