Japanese cross jellyfish is a hydroid polyp with a diameter of up to two centimeters. The jellyfish preferably lives in brackish water. In the Netherlands the species can be found in the Goese Lake, the Oosterschelde, the Grevelingen Lake and the Veerse Lake.
