About the artwork

The hard ports and ships

The bow of a ship is a powerful visual element in port photography. This style often captures raw, industrial images of ships, rusty steel surfaces, quays and other port structures. The emphasis is on harsh colours, weathered textures and details such as calibration marks, which allude to the world of seafaring. This photography shows the rugged and honest aesthetic of ports, where functionality and wear and tear form a beauty of their own.

Port photography is a fascinating form of photography that focuses on capturing the activity in ports. Port cities are often bustling centres of commerce and industry, where ships, trucks and trains move back and forth to load and unload goods. This offers photographers the opportunity to capture beautiful images of large ships docked at the quayside, crane machines loading and unloading containers from and onto the ships, and workers busy at work. Port photography can be challenging, as there is often a lot of movement and activity, and the light is constantly changing. But when the right moments are captured, port photo's can produce impressive and inspiring images.

Ship Viewer_Port Photography; raw and honest, just like the port itself. A collection of great ships and details, seafaring, inland navigation, fishing and port industry.

Port photos's on the wall of the living room office or study. Also wall-filling as wallpaper!
