The sky colours beautifully in the morning, announcing the sunrise over the eastern horizon. On this chilly morning, there is quite a layer of fog hanging over the river IJssel. The fog and the colourful morning light beautifully show why Zutphen is called the Tower City; four towers rise above the fog and stand out beautifully against the orange and blue where night gives way to the rising sun. From left to right, the tower of the Nieuwstadkerk, the Wijnhuistoren, the Sint Walburgiskerk and the Drogenapstoren can be seen. Zutphen has a long history; these four towers have formed the skyline of Hanseatic city Zutphen for hundreds of years.
