A modern, but very classical still life. All items are (relatively) new, but are either replicas of traditional items, or new items that fit into old traditions. The 'Blue fold' dinner plate and dipping bowl are fresh designs by Romy Kuhne that fit seemlessly into the Delft blue tradition.
Other items are the Jan Steen jug, a 'Kattenkop' wine bottle, a historically modelled glass, a blue checkered tea towel, oyster shells with pearl earrings modelled after the famous Johannes Vermeer painting and a knife engraved with the artist's name - just like the 17th century female still life painter Clara Peeters, who often signed her paintings with her name 'engraved' into a special knife she depicted in her paintings.
