The forest dung beetle is a beetle frequently found on the sandy paths of the Veluwe. They crawl around somewhat unhappily hoping not to be trampled. They are looking for food in the form of faeces or dead animals. This specimen was sitting on a branch where the branch was discoloured by the blei of algae. a beautiful orange carpet.
