About ‘The feast of Belsazar, Rembrandt van Rijn - ca. 1636’
The feast of Belsazar, also known as Belsazar's feast, is a painting by Rembrandt van Rijn, signed and painted by him, probably circa 1636-1638, 167.6 x 209.2 centimetres in size. The theme is based on the story from the Old Testament book Daniel about the sign on the wall that predicts disaster to the Babylonian ruler Belsazar.
