About ‘The enigmatic Bayon in a different light’ by Frank Photos

The Bayon temple, the spiritual heart of Angkor Thom, is revealed here in black and white, highlighting its sculpted reliefs and enigmatic faces. This 12th-century sanctuary, built during the reign of Jayavarman VII, is famous for its towers adorned with gigantic stone faces. In the absence of colour, every detail of the weathered stone becomes more striking: cracks, moss and the play of shadows accentuate the mystical atmosphere of the site. The low-angled light of morning or evening further sculpts the serene expressions of the Khmer divinities, creating a timeless atmosphere and an imprint of spirituality. Here, the contrast between light and shadow reinforces the majesty of these ruins, witnesses to a glorious past. To capture the Bayon in monochrome is to reveal the hidden soul of this fascinating place, where every frozen smile seems to tell the story of a thousand years.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
