About the artwork
The work: "The end is near... a little more together" is a photo of two lanterns of a lantern plant, both of which have already partly decayed and you can actually see mainly the vein structure. In the case of one of the two lanterns, the orange berry has also already disappeared; this lantern is "empty inside".
The soft pastel background, the water-like reflection and the simplicity, among other things, make for a very calm soft image.
The colour of the background is light pastel pink - orange in colour and matches the skeletons of the lanterns nicely. This gives the work a warm feeling, a warm calm atmosphere.
The reflection on the ground also gives a special effect to the photo, in the mirror image these 2 lanterns seem to decay even further, this is due to the wave-like structure that the ground surface seems to have.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration in the bedroom, study, hallway or just above the sofa! (Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!)
