The warship De Zeehondt is being towed out of the Middelburg harbor towards the sea with the help of four heavy-duty draft horses. It is not known who is leaving here with so much interest from high and low. It must be someone of distinction, because even the yacht of Stadtholder Maurice is present: it fires a gun salute.
Adriaen Pietersz. van de Venne was a Dutch painter, grisaill painter, miniature painter, engraver, draftsman, poet and publisher belonging to the Dutch School. He was a pupil of Jeronymus van Diest (I) and Simon de Valck.
