Looking at this work is like seeing a colourful butterfly stretching its wings in a dance of freedom and joy.
The bright colours - pink, yellow, red and blue - flow together effortlessly, as if they are celebrating together. But if you look longer, you discover small details: thin white lines that look like movement in the air, and playful patterns that almost invisibly tell their story. The work feels alive, as if it could come to life at any moment.
While making this work, I was completely guided by my feelings.
The atmosphere I wanted to create is warm and cheerful. The artwork gives you a sense of lightness, as if it invites you to see the world through the eyes of a butterfly: free, playful and full of colour. It energises you and makes you smile, but it also invites you to reflect on the beauty of simplicity.
The butterfly symbolises change, embracing the unknown. It is a reminder that growth is always possible, even when it feels exciting or challenging. For me, the work has a positive connotation, an ode to the power of our own inner light.
When creating this work, I used no set plans or techniques. I let my feelings take the lead and applied the colours intuitively. The layers of paint and lines emerged spontaneously, while I let myself be carried away by the energy of the moment. It makes this work unique, as every detail is a reflection of my emotions while making it.
In this work, I used charcoal, acrylic paint and different chalks.
In an interior, this work brings colour, joy and positivity. It is perfect for people who like an energetic and lively atmosphere in the home. Whether it hangs in a living room, a creative workspace or even a bedroom, the work immediately attracts attention and adds a sense of freedom. It suits people who love colour.
