When you think of the Faroe Islands, you actually think of a classic image: the waterfall on the island of Vágar, called Múlafossur. When you arrive at the village of Gásadalur the waterfall is still a bit hidden, but when you walk down the path, you can hear the noise of the water jet immediately. All kinds of birds fly around the waterfall to make it a complete spectacle of nature.
The stripes in the sky suck you into the picture, as it were. You want to be there, but in your mind you are already there. Indeed, everyone can imagine what it is like to stand there. Overwhelming.
