About ‘The Faroese Gjógv’ by Jitse de Graaf

The Faroe Islands are bursting with typical Scandinavian harbor/fishing villages. The colorful roofs, wooden and stone walls: it all adds up to a beautiful whole.

This photo was taken from the mountain near the picturesque village of Gjógv. The village is named after the 200 meter long - with seawater filled - rock gorge that leads from the village to the sea.

When you walk up the mountain and are out of breath from the climb full of headwinds, you suddenly encounter this breathtaking view. Everything comes together here. The cottages, the rocky gorge and in the background of course the beautiful Faroese mountains. The clouds fall like a blanket over the Faroese natural beauty. This is where you want to live, right!

Hang up this work and imagine yourself forever in this beautiful village, where the smell of the sea meets you.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
