by Peter Bartelings

About the artwork

The beach of le Kerou in the town of Clohars-Carnoët is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brittany, France. This panoramic work shows a section of the beach that well captures the beauty of the sandy beach with its large rock outcroppings. The sky is a beautiful mixture of blues and clouds pulled apart by the wind. The sea is letting out a wave in a thin layer of water with white foam on the water. On the right, a wave can be seen smashing into the rock and splashing the water upwards. On the left of the photo, a rock has been eroded in such a way that an arch has formed under which you can walk. The photo was taken in the morning when the sun was still above the horizon and cast a beautiful soft light over the beach and rocks.
