About ‘The Stuibenfall Waterfall’ by Marcel Hechler

Here I got up close, right to the spot where the water no longer flows but plunges. The Stuibenfall shoots down from the top right over the wet rocky ledge, splits at the steps and hits the stones below, where it foams white and hurls itself into the next torrent. On this rainy day, the stream was carrying a lot of water — you can almost feel the power when you look at it.

On the left, a solitary larch grows out of the dark rock face, its roots hanging down and stretching across the wet stone like fine threads. I particularly like this small, almost defiant detail: a tree clinging on precisely where everything else is in motion.

I’ve captured the water so that it flows over the dark rock as a soft, foaming stream — powerful, yet not frantic. The wet rock and the deep green of the forest frame the bright cascade and give it stability.

For me, the image tells of the untamed side of the mountains, of days when the weather makes no attempt to sugar-coat things. On the wall, it acts as an eye-catching focal point full of energy — an image for a space that’s allowed to show character: a living room, a hallway, a wall that can take a bit of a beating.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
